Our next Transition Cafe event is on Tuesday 10th May in our usual venue, Kitchen Garden Cafe in York Rd. 7.30 – 9pm (food and drinks from 6.30)
Richard Davies from Marches Energy Agency will be speaking about
Kings Heath’s Energy Trilemma:
Safe? Affordable? Low carbon?
What size is the carbon footprint in Kings Heath?
Can we reduce it by generating energy locally?
How can our community buildings contribute to this?
Richard was recently commissioned by the Energy Savings Trust to give expert advice to us on creating a long term carbon reduction action plan. Here is the Kings Heath Expert Support Report March 2011, which will be discussed on 10th May, when we will have an opportunity to hear what he found out and discuss it him.
So come and join us for what will be a fascinating and stimulating evening!!
The doors will open at 6.30 when homemade soup, cakes, drinks and snacks will be on sale.
Donations towards the cost of the room hire will be appreciated.
