Moseley & Kings Heath Labour: community conference : A Green Vision for Moseley and Kings Heath

Community Conference: A Green Vision for Moseley & Kings Heath
Thursday 4th July, 18:45 for a 19:00 start
Moseley Exchange, 149-153 Alcester Road, Moseley, B13 8JP

This conference, ‘A Green Vision for Moseley & Kings Heath’, is an opportunity for all members of the community in Moseley and Kings Heath to comment on (and contribute to) Birmingham’s Green Commission. So if you are interested in…

  • energy saving and smart energy systems
  • better use of improved green space
  • biodiversity and water
  • low carbon transport options
  • better recycling and waste disposal options
…then this is the conference for you!

The Green Commission recently published its vision for a greener, more prosperous city, which you can find here. In line with that, we are hoping to:

  1. establish some priorities for local action, and
  2. deliver some messages back to Birmingham City Council about how we feel about their stated priorities.

In attendance will be Councillor James McKay (Cabinet Member, ‘Green, Safe & Smart City’), who will be joining in your discussions and taking your insight back to the Green Commission.

Also, members of CoRE50, Sustainable Moseley (SusMo) and Kings Heath Transition have been invited to help facilitate table discussions.

Moseley & Kings Heath Labour Party opens up their monthly branch meeting to the local community every three months – it makes for vibrant discussions and means that we don’t spend all our time talking to ourselves. It doesn’t matter if you’re not a member of the Labour Party: everyone is welcome to join in the discussion and to have their say.

If you would like to attend, please reply to this email so that we can send you papers prior to the event.

Looking forward to seeing you!
