Dear friends of Kings Heath Transition,
Here is something that could be of interest. KHTI has been selected to administrate this volunterring opportunity. Please read on …

Volunteering Opportunity (possibly with a small payment) to find out about and promote Birmingham Energy Savers and the Green Deal
The Green Deal is an exciting initiative that could transform our housing, making it warmer and more comfortable, while reducing our carbon footprint, at no up-front cost to householders. Birmingham Energy Savers is one of the first Green Deal providers to launch, and they are looking for properties where the measures could be piloted. KHTI is one of the community groups that has been chosen to help in recruiting the pilot properties, and initially we are looking to find 40 households who would like to apply to be shortlisted for a Green Deal assessment, which might lead to a complete home make-over.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with the recruitment. Volunteers would receive a half-day’s training on the Green Deal in November, and possibly a small fee at the end of the project (depending on whether our targets are met). All expenses would be covered. Of course, your own property could be one of the 40 listed.
